Frans van Wyk

Director

 Frans has over 22 years of experience in project management and other advisory services in the agricultural industry. He is a chartered accountant and holds a honours degree BSc in Agriculture Economics. He has been involved in engagements throughout the wider agricultural value chain, including facilitation of strategic planning and restructuring of companies and development institutions, black economic empowerment advisory services as well as socio-economic research in the sector.

Stephen Hobson

Director

Stephen has over 30 years’ experience in agribusiness, finance, agricultural economics and rural development. He has an MSc Agric (Agricultural Economics) degree and was awarded the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter. He focuses on business advisory including business plans, financial analysis and feasibility studies; comprehensive due diligence​ and independent valuations; transaction advisory, investment memorandums and capital raising and BEE advisory.

Anneline Hugo

Anneline has 16 years of experience in research, strategy development and socio-economic policy analysis and holds an MPhil Degree in Decision-making, Knowledge Dynamics and Values, with specific focus on transformation. Her biggest passion is to help companies, teams and individuals reach their full potential in a sustainable manner. She is also an accredited Enneagram practitioner and coach, a self-published writer and has honed her skills in graphic design and photography to support her within her role in Agrifusion.

Johannes Brand

Johannes has over 25 years’ experience in agribusiness management and consulting including production, value adding, exports, marketing and financial management. He has hands-on experience throughout the fresh produce value chain, including commercial and smallholder production in southern Africa, local and export sales and logistics to all sectors of the market with a focus on the high value retail sector. He holds a BSc in Horticulture and Agricultural Economics. He currently focuses on business plans, financial analysis, feasibility studies and industry transformation.

Marlene de Witt

Marlene has 15 years’ experience working in water resources management, sustainability, project management and science communication. She has held positions in various sectors, including the public sector, an international development agency (GIZ) and most recently Stellenbosch University. Marlene has been consulting for Agrifusion since November 2022, focusing on agricultural water-use licensing, regulatory water issues and sustainability. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and has a keen interest in contributing towards sustainable agricultural practices, as well as promoting stakeholder engagement in catchment management research and processes.

Francois van Wyk

Francois studied BaccLLB at Stellenbosch University and completed his law articles at Boy Louw Inc. where he specialised in advising on compliance with the National Environmental Management Act, Water Act, Carbon Tax Act and Export Regulations for the Agricultural Sector. He has a keen interest in finding innovative, forward-thinking, sustainable, and practical solutions within the agricultural value chain with a continuous aim of improving the social, economic, and environmental wellbeing of our society.

Esti Kruger

Esti has been working in the line of Business Support Services since 2001, starting as a Personal Assistant and training herself in the Company Secretarial Field.  She single-handedly managed this department at PwC and Fourie Oberg de Bruyn in Ceres and attended various courses and seminars in this field.

Elsa Frylinck

Elsa enjoys assisting companies with the full-house transformation services of strategy planning through Implementation and monitoring to preparation for verification and the B-BBEE audit itself. Elsa, being a professionally qualified attorney and having completed her LLM in Advanced company Law where her dissertation was focused on ownership solutions in B-BBEE, is also suitably qualified to advise on all ownership structures available in the B-BBEE Codes, specifically employee ownership schemes and broad-based ownership schemes.
